Liver Cleanse

I’m going to do a large Liver Cleanse over the next couple of days.

I have been eating a low fat vegan diet for over two months, and recently went camping up in the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park.

What I have noticed over the years is that the Vegan Diet has a tendency to concentrate the toxins in my liver, helping to prepare them for a flush. Also being up on the mountains tends to concentrate the waste in my liver. I almost immediately start to experience signs of Liver overload when I am at a high altitude. For me these symptoms include; asthma, skin rashes, headache, allergy symptoms, and bloating.

Since coming down off the mountain on saturday, I have had troubling asthma, as well as significant allergy symptoms. This past week I have been fasting for religious reasons (Mormons fast once a month and give the money saved from buying food to the poor in a fast offering) which I did for 24 hours on sat/sun, and followed this fast with a juice fast for two additional days. I had no relief of the allergy symptoms, in fact, they seemed to get worse.
I weaned Ben on Saturday morning before beginning my fast, and decided that it was time to really clean out my body now that he is not getting nourishment from me.

I have not done a parasite or colon cleanse this time. Just the juice fasting, but I have felt guided all week to do a large liver cleanse starting today. I have done dozens of these cleanses over the past eight years. Our Chiropractor introduced us to them back in 1997 when I was having some of the worst gall bladder attacks of my life.

Because I was the classically toxic person with a lifelong history of deadly allergies, asthma, chemical sensitivities, skin problems, etc..I have had to make some extra effort in terms of cleansing my liver.

In all of this cleansing, I have felt strongly that I should never diet or restrict my calories in any way, especially while pregnant and nursing. I have done therapuetic fasting, and certain cleansing diets, like the vegan diets and juice fasts for a period of weeks or months to aid in my cleansing efforts when I was not pregnant or nursing. However, I have had a baby on the breast for 11 of the past 17 years, so these windows of opportunity have been short.

Last summer I did two full weeks of raw eating, but stopped because Ben was looking so skinny. He missed that pure buttermilk he was getting through my breastmilk, which came from me eating a mostly vegetarian diet, but liberally sprinkled with animal foods like eggs, butter, and milk (which I have learned over the years makes the breast milk flow like cream!)

Now that he is weaned, I plan to do some fun cleansing and purifying diets over the next year or so, and see what happens in terms of my weight, health, and energy level.

Today I plan to eat a light breakfast and lunch, and then start doing the Olive Oil and Grapefruit/Lemon Juice about 3PM.

UPDATE: August 12

I did the infusion of olive oil and grapefruit/lemon juice about three PM yesterday and WOW, I have passed lots and lots of debris already. AND, most importantly, all of my allergy symptoms are GONE! Early in the week I was also experiencing shooting pains down my shoulders, pain in my gall bladder, and had NO energy. All signs that my liver was toxic and ready for a FLUSH!
I fresh squeezed several grapefruits and lemons and added this juice to a mix of dark and light colored olive oil. Over an hour span from 3 to 4 PM yesterday I drank this infusion of oil/juice, and then stayed up in my room all evening. I also put twenty drops of Juva Flex Essential oil blend

on my abdomen right over the liver, and vita flexed in a few drops on the liver portion of my feet. (Reflexology point)

Juva Flex Ingredients: Sesame seed oil, fennel (Foeniculum vulgare), geranium (Pelargonium graveolens), rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis CT 1,8 cineol), Roman chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile), blue tansy (Tanacetum annuum), and helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum).

I took a bath, went out on the deck to do some yoga/deep breathing, and changed sleeping positions a couple times as I felt the oil working it’s way into my system.

After a couple hours I started to pass chaff and a few stones. Then through the evening I passed more and more chaff – This morning I started the day with some Calli Tea, a sunrider cleansing tea which I have used sucessfully for over fifteen years. I also drank some Fortune delight tea with action caps. A few minutes after drinking the teas I passed some large stones, as well as more chaff.
I feel like this flush was a complete success! No more allergy symptoms, (and august typically is my worst month of the year!), and no digestive pain. I believe I easily moved whatever was blocking up my digestive tract with the infusion. I have not eaten any solid foods yet today, but plan to start with some fresh fruit, and later in the day some salad and perhaps a whole grain muffin.
