Organic Old Fashioned Oatmeal Creations!
Today I did a baking marathon and made home made granola and granola bars.

did not have the gumption to do a tutorial, but here are the recipes:
Mix 2 Cups Brown Sugar with 2 Cups Honey and 2 Cups Olive Oil
Add in 2 Cups Raw Organic Sunflower Seeds, 1 Cup Sweetened Coconut and 1 cup Fresh Ground Flax Seeds
Then add one tablespoon of salt to 1 Cup of White Flour
Mix into dough
Add 1 tablespoon of apple pie spice
Then start mixing in the Oatmeal. Start with 3 or 4 Cups and then gradually add in 10 full cups of Oats.
Towards the end, I just mix it with my hands.
Spread the dough on two large baking sheets and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes on 275 degree oven.
While baking the oats juice six limes and add the juice to any fruit you plan to put into the granola when it is finished baking.
I used raisins, craisins, and golden raisins.
When the granola is finished baking, place the raisins on top while still hot, this helps them to soften up and hydrate even more. The lime juice gives a spectacular flavor to the oats.
Start to pull the oatmeal off the pans while still warm and place in a covered container.
The acidity from the limes keeps it fresh for weeks, but if you don’t eat it within a few weeks, you can freeze it for later thawing and eating.
This makes a whole mound of dough, so I refridgerate it and just keep baking them as we eat them.
8 sticks Butter
3 Cups White Sugar
3 Cups Brown Sugar
Cream sugar and add 6 eggs, mix well
Then fresh grind up a cup of Golden flax Seeds and add to the dough.
Mix two cups of white flour with a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of baking soda.
Add to the dough and mix well.
Begin adding in chips, raisins, coconut, whatever you like in your bars. I used chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and coconut as well as raisins and craisins.
Then add in the oatmeal.
As with the granola, you can mix with a wooden spoon for a while, but after a time I toss the spoon in the sink and just go at it with my hands.
I added 12 cups of Old Fashioned Oats to the dough.
Bake on a baking sheet for 30 minutes or until golden brown at 350 degrees.
Cut while still warm or you will never get them off the pan.
