Denver Tea Party Opening Speech @JennyHatch

I have used this photo all over my content for ten years now. Kendall Gelner captured it that frosty February morning in 2009 and included it in this photo shoot.

I gave the opening speech at the first Denver Tea Party.

After leading the attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of our beloved National Anthem, I sang the final verse of the Star Spangled Banner…

“O thus be it ever

When Free Men shall stand

Between their loved homes

And the wars desolation

Blessed with victory and peace

May the Heav’n Rescued land

Praise the Power that hath made

And preserved us a Nation

Then conquer we must

When our cause it is just

And this be our motto

“IN GOD IS OUR TRUST!”

And the Star Spangled Banner

In Triumph shall wave,

O’er the Land of the Free

And the Home of the BRAVE!

Then I gave a brief overview of the book Atlas Shrugged and shared three ways that individuals and families could “Go Galt.”

I pointed to my kindergartener whom I had brought with me who was holding the American Flag and said,

“My Husband and I did not give this child life so he could grow up to be a socialist slave. We birthed him in FREEDOM and we will do everything in our power to make certain he is able to grow up free and decide for himself how to live a happy life.”

I am so grateful for those who captured photos and videos from this first important event.

Here are a few interviews I compiled in this one video!
